Livestock is a passion that turned into a hobby which led to a business.

The goal of our livestock farming is to achieve maximum sustainable profit/ha. A goal that we achieve by farming with Veldmaster cattle and Konsortium merinos under ultra-high-density grazing. Fundamentally it is built on the fact that stocking rate is a higher driver of profit than calving percentage or weaning weights.

Our stocking rate is on average three times higher than that of the prescribed rates for our area. We produce on average 50kg of meat (live weight) per ha – a number that is not the ceiling but will continue to grow.

Our livestock is an important, stabilizing factor towards our aim of keeping our soils alive.
